5 things that bring me joy this week

From the archives: frolicking in San Diego’s wildflowers. Oh, what joy!

Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here.

I hope you guys had a nice long weekend. As planned, it was fairly quiet over here. We stayed home mostly, and watched Stanger Things season 4, which did not disappoint. Have you watched it yet? We can’t wait for volume 2 to drop on July 1st!

Obviously, watching the show brought us plenty of joy, but apart from that, for my weekly series, here are other 5 things that are bringing me joy this week:

  • This lipstick which feels and looks like a lip balm. I have it in “glaring coral” (wearing it here) though on the website it’s mistakenly named “pinky coral”. It’s creamy, moisturizes my lips, and doesn't feel sticky, which is always a plus for me. It is not particularly long-lasting but pretty nonetheless.

  • Getting this dress at an amazing price! I adore this style of a fitted bodice and a voluminous, flowy skirt, so when I saw this dress, I was head over heels. Not wanting to pay full price for it though, I pushed it from my mind only to find it in my size, and on a huge sale for the Memorial Day Weekend. Basically, the stars aligned, haha, and I can’t wait to receive it!

  • The relatively low humidity. By this time, the humidity really goes up here in Florida to suffocating levels, and surprisingly, even though we’ve had temperatures of 90+ for over a month now, the humidity hasn’t persisted as much. I’ll take it!

  • Trader Joe’s Sesame sticks. These are my favorite snack and have been for a while now. They’re crunchy, salty, and just yummy, and they bring me joy. Look for them in the snack aisle, however, be warned that they are addicting!

  • This song. Without giving any spoilers, this song plays a significant role in one of the episodes of Stranger Things season 4 (you didn’t think I was done with it, did you?). Not surprisingly, it shot to fame as people became obsessed with it (yes, I’m one of them), sending it to no. 1 on iTunes. It’s catchy and listening to it brings me joy.

As always, what’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
