5 things that bring me joy this week

Shop my dress here; read my review of it in this post

Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.

Well, I decided to take the day off from posting yesterday. I didn’t want or feel like pushing mostly the same sales, especially as I didn’t shop at all myself. While I had a long list of plans, or more like to-dos, ultimately, I ended up being lazy. We enjoyed good food, and some relaxing time with hubby at home since the weather was pure misery — pretty sure Florida broke records with this heat.

OK, let’s move on to the 5 things that are bringing me joy this week:

  • being featured among some pretty incredible people sharing valuable lessons we learned in previous jobs, and more. Read my full interview here. Being “discovered” is always fun and sharing more of my story in ways I don’t do on the blog is an opportunity for joy.

  • a DIY project I’m looking forward to. I found these curved sides and these round wooden boxes and I was immediately reminded of the generous amount of shells I have collected over the years with the goal of creating something. Initially, I wanted to decorate a special mirror but that project will have to wait for a more permanent home. Until then, these wooden boxes should do, and I can’t wait to make my vision happen — the idea sure brings me plenty of joy.

  • Book Club: The Next Chapter. Funny, lighthearted, and just like the old times, this movie gave me what I was craving after some unfortunate show we tried watching last month that left us disgusted. Give it a try — this movie is a visual joy, especially as it takes place mostly in Italy.

  • these hoop earrings. Seriously, they just bring me a lot of joy as they’re my favorite to wear at the moment. I’m kind of loving these colorful ones, too.

  • sleeping in these past few days — it just felt soo good, and life is more joyful when I’m getting enough sleep.

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
