5 things that bring me joy this week

seeing more pearls in my future…

Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.

As expected, it’s been a somewhat quiet weekend here, though, not necessarily peaceful as tropical storm Debbie was passing us by (leaving its mark in places, of course).

Monday, while the storm had mostly left us, it got me thinking of how grateful I was not just for being unaffected, but for everything, in general. I know better not to underestimate nature and its power, so these things are always unnerving and bring a wave of reflection and gratitude once they pass. So nothing too exciting going on here so far this week, though I’m hoping we can make up for it this upcoming weekend.

With that said, here are 5 things that are bringing me joy this week:

  • the joy I’m seeing online these days. It’s contagious and uplifting, of course! Didn’t realize how much we needed to see some light in the world!

  • this hair growth treatment actually working! I’ve been using it for about two months and am so happy with the results! I only apply it once a day vs. the recommended two times, but it’s still working wonderfully. I may write a full blog post about it, we shall see, but yes, seeing it work is bringing me joy!

  • a new dress I’m eyeing! I will share it once I secure it, but it caught my attention immediately, and I just have to have it! It’s gorgeous!

  • a good sweat session! I swear my choice of music makes all the difference in energizing my workouts, as well as making them a joyous experience. There’s no secret really; I just select one of my favorite bands on Spotify or Apple Music and let it do its thing; there aren’t really any songs of theirs I don’t like, which makes this joyful. I find this song, this one, and this one particularly energizing, while this one might just be my all-time favorite. Hey, I like what I like…

  • eyeing this necklace (or a similar one from these). It’s not new that I have a weakness for pearls, but I absolutely adore Baroque, coin, and Keshi pearls — there's just something about them that I find even more irresistible than the perfect form of round pearls. With our 12th wedding anniversary around the corner, I’m making my list, haha! Pearls just bring me joy!

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
