5 things that bring me joy this week

Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.

This past weekend, we finally visited a museum that’s been on my list for a while, and it did not disappoint. We spent several hours there marveling at the beauty of what used to be and left inspired and impressed. The rest of the weekend was spent on menial tasks and relaxation, of course, cause that’s what weekends are for, right?

I’ll probably share more about our visit to the museum in my month-at-a-glance post — I’m not trying to be secretive about it, I just don’t have anything ready about it yet.

Anyway, here are 5 things that bring me joy this week:

  • these keratin hair masks. I keep my hair care routine really simple… in fact, it’s as basic as it can be — I wash my hair every day, and once every few days I apply my holy-grail hair oil, and that’s it! Once in a while, I try to use a hair mask to make sure my hair stays healthy. To be honest, I like all the hair masks from this brand and have been using them for years, depending on my hair needs. These days it’s their keratin hair mask bringing my hair joy 😉.

  • this high-frequency wand. Sadly, I don’t use it regularly to enjoy its full benefits and be able to give it a comprehensive review, but when I do remember to use it, it actually brings me joy. It takes a bit to get used to and handle it properly, but I find it fun.

  • these turquoise earrings. I lost track of how often I mentioned these before, but I wore them over the weekend and fell in love a little more. And the pop of color brought me joy; I just noticed that mine are currently sold out, but these, these, these, and these are similar (and affordable) if you’re looking for your own little joy.

  • a new dress. Of course, it brings joy!

  • the moment I get to bed at night. I am tired these days and that moment when we finally get all settled and in bed is the biggest joy. Basic? Sure! Though I consider sleep to be of major importance to our health and well-being and I’ll never be embarrassed about admitting I love it and need it.

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
