5 things that bring me joy this week
Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.
How’s your week going after this long weekend? I bet it feels like it’s the longest week — it always does!
I hope you had a fun holiday weekend — ours was actually pretty nice, and peaceful, just like I wanted it.
Here are this week’s 5 things that bring me joy:
this mascara. It transforms my lashes and it’s been my absolute favorite for the last 5 years! I personally don’t have issues with it clumping or flaking but it does take a little bit of getting used to, especially when using a brand new tube. Tip: If your mascara is too wet, let it air dry for a few seconds before applying — that way you ensure less clumping.
this dress! I just received it today and I must say that I find it much nicer in person. The only thing that I’m not liking about it is the belt; first, I’m not a huge fan of the silver buckle, and second, the belt itself is too lightweight to support the buckle and have it stay put — a little reinforcing would have been ideal. It’s no deal breaker for me though as I will be swapping it, most likely. Other than that, this dress is pretty much my ideal style and it brings me so much joy. Plus, it has pockets!!! Size up!
this striped cardigan! Currently on sale and a beauty to shop next.
a little break in humidity. After the hurricane, we were blessed with cooler evenings and less humid days which allowed us to get outside for longer periods of time, and boy, did that bring me joy!
this dress. Yes, another dress. I don’t know why, but whenever I don’t know what to wear, or feel a certain way, I reach for this dress (in color green-1). Maybe it’s because it’s insanely comfortable, maybe because it’s flowy and that brings me joy, or maybe it’s because I feel beautiful in it no matter what. This dress has brought me a lot of joy since I bought it about 2 years ago and I see it continuing to do so. Take your usual size.
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
