5 things that bring me joy this week

Spending time at the beach…

Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.

We’ve had a nice extended weekend where we’ve mostly been gone. We got some rest, and then with a packed schedule, got all tired again. I have to say that it’s nice to be back home and getting back into our routine. Who else loves a routine?

Apart from routines that in and of themselves bring joy, here are this week’s 5 things that are doing the same:

  • the absolutely gorgeous weather we’re having today. I’d say that it’s a tad chilly, but nothing a light sweater, a blazer, or a jacket wouldn’t fix. We’ve dreamed of such weather for so long! Though, of course, it’s short-lived again. We’ll take it!

  • a weekend spent at the beach. It was needed! And we got to explore another new-to-us place in the Tampa Bay area.

  • something to look forward to. I have been making plans for weeks ahead, and the idea brings me a lot of joy. After all, having something to look forward to is one of the easiest ways to create contentment in one’s life.

  • spending time with family. Yes, they might drive us crazy sometimes, but seeing them, especially when living in different states, is something that brings joy.

  • fresh flowers. Even if some creature wants to sniff and eat them 24/7. Don’t worry, when we’re not home, we place them outside or in the closet so everyone stays safe and healthy.

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
