You can check out the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here. It's a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things—those small joys that make a difference in our daily lives.

We’re still grappling with the recent events and feel like some days we’re only going through the motions, but we’re slowly reclaiming our peace, joy, and lives overall. Somehow life has been busy and we’ve just been trying to stay on top of things. But it sure has been a blur lately...

With Thanksgiving Day upon us, I wanted to express my gratitude to those of you supporting me and this little adventure of mine — I appreciate you! Your support means more than you know.

With that said, here is a list of 5 random things bringing me joy this week:

  • turkey day! Okay, okay, it’s definitely not just about the turkey, but I love this holiday for its significance. I am aware of its history/origins and how it can be painful to some. While I recognize that, I also like the idea of dedicating a day to gratitude — we don’t practice it enough!

  • re-watching Stranger Things. To be perfectly honest, when we were watching season 4, we couldn’t remember much of the previous ones and their references. With, hopefully, season 5 arriving in 2025, we decided to rewatch it to refresh our memory to understand it better. It’s been fun reliving the craze.

  • scoring some of the items on my wishlist on major sales. Yep, sales always bring joy.

  • perfect weather. FINALLY, the weather here is everything we’ve dreamed of and waited for months and months. Good weather really does bring joy, doesn’t it?

  • slowly decorating for Christmas. I used to be a strict no-Christmas-until-after-Thanksgiving-person, but 2020 changed everything. I now support whatever brings people joy, as long as it’s not harming anyone else. And decorating a Christmas tree before Thanksgiving sure doesn’t do that. Let people have their joy!

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
