5 things that bring me joy this week

The Thanksgiving sunset

Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.

I hope your holiday was nice and peaceful. Ours definitely was as we followed our usual tradition of cooking, enjoying the food, taking our after-meal walk (and catching a beautiful sunset over the water), and ending the day with watching movies. Just the way I like my holidays.

On another note, winter decided to arrive this week in Florida (we’re into mid-forties at night), and boy, are we ever ready for it! The good news is that we’ll be back to the low 80s this weekend and I am stupidly happy about it — I just don’t like the cold (or the extreme Florida summer heat for that matter).

Those mentions aside, here are the 5 things that bring me joy this week:

  • hot showers on these cold days! It’s been a little tough staying warm these last few days here, so I have been looking forward even more to my evening hot showers.

  • not having to cook for several days. Due to leftovers, I should say (the best part about holidays, IMO!). Yes, we were over it at some point, but it sure has been nice having dinner ready for a few nights and not having to even think about it.

  • this leather bag I just received. It’s adorable and well-made! I’m debating if I should get it in black also, but until I decide, the one I got brings me so much joy! I’m planning on wearing it with my Sarah Flint Natalie slingbacks in gold Saffiano. (save 15% on your first Sarah Flint purchase when you use code SARAHFLINT-CCMARINA1).

  • this coin pearl necklace I got. We all know about my pearl obsession by now, and I wanted to “expand” my collection beyond the usual beads. I came across coin pearl necklaces and I decided on one. That one led me to this one and I can’t stop thinking about it… Anyway, my necklace brings me joy and I can’t wait to wear it! Note: I went with the 17 inches length.

  • fun weekend plans! We’ll be visiting a new-to-us place/attraction and I’m pretty excited about it.

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
