A casual and comfy look

While everyone is thinking about fall, and rushing into it, I can't help but linger in the summer. Truth be told, I hate cold weather and I hate layering. I’ve said it before but layers make me feel heavy and not that comfortable. And case in point, no matter how many layers I had on while we lived in colder climates, I was still always cold.

As we're heading into the Labor Day long weekend, I'm still wearing my whites and summer-fit clothes.
I know there are debates over wearing white after Labor Day, and I simply don't get the "no-white" rule, especially in SoCal. As we head into fall, we usually have a lot of warm, sunny days, so not wearing white here is outrageous in my book - call me a rule-breaker.

We have finally had some perfect low-80s days here in SoCal and we couldn't have been happier. I was able to put on something other than a dress and, I really was looking forward to that - one needs a change once in a while.

As I was saying, once the weather cooled a bit, I decided to give my dresses a break, and style some of the pants I have.

For a casual day of exploring my favorite place - Coronado, I put together this summery look. I have had these white pants for a while now but the heat didn't allow me to wear them until now. I've always loved the turquoise-white color combo so I thought of combining these two items together for an "island" look and feel - perfect for Coronado.

What I love about these pants is that they have a loose fit and allow for air-flow There are also numerous ways they can be styled, which is also a plus; I'll be wearing these pants every occasion I get.

And, as I mentioned in my last post, I bought this shirt at Target and I can't get enough of it; I can't wait to wear it with high-waisted jeans or even skirts. There is something about a shirt that is classic and timeless and it instantly changes a look.

While I wasn't able to find any of the items I'm wearing here online, I have linked similar options that would help you create a similar look. Shop similar tops here, here and here and similar pants here, here and here. For a complete look, check the items linked below.
