August at a glance...

Here’s to another month that’s flown by. It’s been hot and humid, so we haven’t ventured to any worthy of mentioning places, especially as we’ve had a lot going on at a personal level. Here’s how August looked for us at a glance.

What we did

Well, we decided last minute to move, as in, we didn’t plan on it and one day, changed our mind. We’ve been busy figuring those details out, especially as we don’t know exactly where we’re going yet… talk about a fun ride ahead!

What we watched

We generally watch shows or movies while eating and/or during dinner cleanup time so it took us the entire month to watch these two shows.

One: we watched Killing Eve via Hulu, and I had no idea what we’d been missing as overall, I loved it! The show is good and the cast is phenomenal. The seasons we enjoyed the most were 1 and 2. Season 3 was a bit disappointing, with season 4 leaving us with a “what the hell is going on?” and “oh, come on!” (no spoilers over here!). Still a good show that I recommend if you haven’t seen it yet.

Two: we just got done watching Only Murders in the Building, and while it felt slow, the last two episodes made up for it.

What I read

It’s been a slow month when it comes to reading, as we’ve been busy, but I started reading “You Are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth” by Jen Sincero because we can all use a reminder.

What I shopped for

I don’t think I’ve shopped for anything else other than a lot of scarves this month… really, I went overboard! I am obsessed with scarves (maybe I’m collecting them at this point?), and I am planning on wearing them especially as the weather cools down.

I prefer scarves in bright colors to wear with “toned-down outfits” (think sweaters/basic tees with jeans or coordinating dresses), and these are perfect for autumn. I especially love the Van Gogh-inspired light blue Starry Night and Starry Night in red as I’m such a fan of his work (I already purchased the dark blue version while in Italy).

I also had to have this blue and white scarf, this lemon neck scarf, this shell and flowers one, this magnolia one, this sunflower neckerchief and scarf, as well as these colorful, painting-like silk scarves. Believe it or not, these aren’t even all I purchased, but I have to stop somewhere, haha… I now can’t wait to wear them!

ONE CURIOUS THING I LEARNED

In the US, How Long You Live Depends on Which State You Live In. How does your state fare?

The highlight of our month

The main one honestly is deciding to move… I’ll leave it at that, though if you read this post, you know why this is a highlight, especially for someone who abhors moving...

*See how our July was here.

How was your August?

Em
