Bell-sleeves eyelet shirt

I know I'm not the only one excited for spring, being able to finally get rid of layers, enjoy the sun, warmer weather and lighter clothes.

While with every season styles change and even become outdated, one detail remains "fresh" year after year - eyelets. Who doesn't love them? They've been very popular not only with clothing items but also shoes, bags and the list goes on. I also have a weakness for eyelets, so it's no science figuring out that this detail was what made me stop when I saw this shirt at Target. The white shirt has always been a classic, but when it gets a modern twist, you gotta go for it.

This top sold out super fast and I literally found my size by chance, probably because it was "out of place" (maybe you get lucky as well), but I linked similar ones here, here and here.

Speaking of Target, I just realized that, except for the jeans, everything I am wearing here is from Target.
They have seriously "upped" their game lately, to the point that it gets really dangerous getting into this store (that's what hubby says every single time we go there).

Back to the outfit though - you might have noticed that I wear a lot of flats, and while I wear them due to obvious reasons (comfort and practicability), I love heels as well, especially kitten heels. The shoes I'm wearing here are literally my dream heel height and they're also too cute (we all know our obsession with stripes, haha).

There's a funny story around these shoes actually. I have been eyeing them for a while but didn't necessarily plan on buying them. The day I wore this outfit, I paired it with some flats I've had for years. We were on our way to Trader Joe's when my shoes literally fell apart. Not wanting to go back home to change, I went into the Target store nearby to get myself a pair of shoes, so I don't end up barefoot - the ones I was wearing continued to fall apart - I was so embarrassed! Once in Target, I could not see any shoes I liked but kept hoping, looking for these striped ones. Just when I was about to leave disappointed, I saw them and guess what - they were on sale and with only one pair left in my size. I started laughing and told my husband that it was the universe that made this whole thing happen. I bought the shoes, put them on and went about my day. Shop the shoes here, and the sunglasses I'm wearing here.

The rings I am wearing are vintage turquoise and were given to me by my grandmother. I found that eBay is the best place for finding gems like the ones I'm wearing or any vintage jewelry you might want.

Do you like eyelets as much as I do?

Until next time.

XOXO,
