Fall fashion staples

Fall is finally making its way to San Diego and last weekend I had to pull my sweaters and jeans out (never mind that this weekend, summer seems to have come back, and yes, I'm loving it).

You already know that I don't like the cold weather - the reason why we live in San Diego - but even around here, it gets cold. Sweaters are the best way to beat the cold, when you can't stay at home, under the blanket and with a cup of tea in your hand. It might surprise you, but I love cozy sweaters, even if I don't have that many - we live in SoCal after all.

One way I love to wear my sweaters though is accompanied by a scarf. Scarves are another love of mine and I have been collecting them, no matter where I lived. It's true I had to leave some behind when I switched countries but I have slowly been growing their number and prints since.

For those early fall days, when it's chilly but too warm to bundle up, I like wearing silk or satin scarves, like the one I'm wearing in these photos. This particular scarf was one of those great finds from T.J.Maxx and I couldn't have matched it better with my outfit, even if I wanted to.

A silky or satin scarf instantly elevates your look, so I would recommend adding them to your fall fashion staples as soon as you find one you like.
Once the weather cools down, switch them for thicker or the blanket scarves to keep you warm; get inspired by the options linked above.
