Fall shoes to consider

I’ve always loved shoes, though, this love only started to shine through once I became a Sarah Flint brand ambassador. Since then, I’ve added a significant number of shoes to my closet, even if only a few show up regularly on my blog and Instagram. The truth is that I like cute shoes, and while I try to be practical, many of them just aren’t everyday kinds of shoes.

I generally prefer to wear shoes with some heel height to elongate the legs. I definitely go for kitten heels more than anything else though, because I love how they look and because they’re a lot more practical and wearable, in my opinion.

I also like elegant shoes and avoid Crocs, Birkenstocks, and sneakers at all costs. It’s purely a “looks” thing for me as I think there are plenty of comfortable shoes out there that don’t sacrifice style, and vice versa.

Now that we have clarified that, let’s look at shoe styles for this fall, shall we?

  • Slingbacks.

Interestingly enough, they are a big trend this fall. Trendy or not, slingback shoes have been my go-to for years — they’re stylish and feel less formal, while still looking elegant. And we know I really, really love these slingbacks!

  • Ballet flats

Ballet flats are classics and a staple in any woman’s shoe closet. They’re easy to wear with just about anything and add that effortless touch to an outfit. These are the ballet flats that caught my eye this season:

  • Pointy flats.

Okay, I am a huge fan of pointy shoes because they elongate the legs and make them look slimmer. Plus, I find them to be more elegant, while the roundish styles feel more casual. Here are some classic with a modern twist styles to consider:

  • Loafers

They are a staple for fall and can look great with both sweater dresses and jeans. Plus, they give “cool girl” vibes in my opinion.

  • Mary Janes

They’ve been everywhere lately and I have to admit that I love the style, even if I’ve been somewhat hesitant to embrace it. I do prefer Mary Janes with a heel though; the flat ones seem a bit puerile to me, though I can’t deny some women pull them off effortlessly. It’s just a personal preference.

  • Mules.

I’ve come to love these in recent years. I don’t have many shoes in this style, but they can be versatile and easy to wear, obviously. And oh-so-cute, of course!

I love these options:

  • Boots and booties.

Chances are you won’t need these a lot in Florida, but these booties and boots are a true necessity just about anywhere else. Though I feel like I included too many heeled versions, I could not resist including these stunning booties that come in three colors: croc-embossed black, this delicious croc-embossed cocoa color, and snake-embossed print.

Here are boot styles you’ll want to wear year after year:
