Floral dresses to cheer you up
We might not be going places these days, but I can’t help myself from planning all the cute outfits for the time when we’ll finally be able to walk outside with no restrictions.
I have written in my previous post how I stay sane these days (we’re all scared to some degree about the situation we’re ALL in). One way mentioned in that post is wearing pretty dresses that cheer me up and remind me of better days. It is easy to succumb to desperation and give up when so many of us are struggling now, but I strongly believe that now, more than ever, we need to be hopeful, and try to maintain a positive state of mind. I don’t mean that we need to ignore our feelings and what’s going on around us, on the contrary, if you need to grieve, do so, but don’t allow it to become a permanent state or mood.
As I mentioned above, one way of keeping normalcy and cheering myself up has been organizing, sorting and “planning” future looks. I say organizing because I want to be able to see what I have, sort because I know some of the things I have won’t be worn anytime soon (like more formal clothes and shoes) and planning, as in having the things I am more likely to wear these days in close reach.
It’s no secret that I have a weakness for dresses, and that they’re my favorite items to wear on any day (though I don’t ALWAYS wear one). And it’s probably no secret also that I love floral patterns.
So while looking for inspiration and ideas, I came across these floral dresses, my absolute favorite being the green with a [removable] tie-belt (so chic) dress, and the pink hydrangea print one that’s perfect for any occasion, either dressed up with a belt and heels or dresses down- worn “as-is” with sneakers or slides, with the loose fit adding comfort and ease of movement.
I also like the first dress a lot - a wrap-style in mesh, that would be great for occasions like weddings and/or a bit more formal gatherings, or heck, a day out and about if you feel like it (when we’re able to do that without endangering others, of course).

I hope you like the dresses I picked, and that you’re well and staying safe.
As far as my outfit, the dress I’m wearing in these photos is old and unavailable. Find my espadrilles here (my favorite, comfy and affordable), and my Murano Glass watch here (as exact as it gets as these watches are handcrafted entirely - I talked about mine in this post).
Until next time.
