Flowy skirts

My love for dresses is limitless and I have been wearing one for months now, literally. Every single day. But I have to admit that once in a while, I do get tired of dresses. It’s why I’ve been broadening my wishlist lately, and eyeing a few changes.

To be totally honest, I haven’t unpacked all my clothes from our recent move, specifically, my tops, sweaters, and whatever bottoms I have. This has actually been the case since our move to Florida in 2020 — yup, some of my clothes have been “packed” for years. Except for my dresses — those I’ve been moving on hangers so, of course, they were always accessible and my first choice when getting dressed. Anyway…

I have been trying to “tackle” some items from my spring wishlist, and when I got to actually purchasing some of the items, specifically, these white trousers, I backed out. Old habits die hard and once again, I reminded myself of the miserable heat that’s about to hit us here in Florida — there’s no way I will be choosing to wear pants over dresses. So I went on browsing a few more stores… While doing so, I came across this skirt that swept me off my feet: flowy, blue and white, and ocean-themed? Need I say more? If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I absolutely love flowy styles so I obviously had to buy this skirt!

I couldn’t find this skirt online, but for reference, the brand is “Her Destiny”, and the color is “large shell”. Since the skirt is not lined, I am wearing it with this half-slip.

While I am wearing it here with this exact basic white tee (another option here); I plan on also wearing it with bodysuits and even swimwear at the beach. Since the skirt is super long, I’m planning on possibly wearing it as a dress and coverup, as well.

All this to say that if you too, are tired of dresses, or want to mix things up, a flowy skirt might be the answer. They can be dressed up or down and are perfect for vacation, as well as every day. Scroll below for flowy skirts and what to wear them with.

Outfit details: Her Destiny large shell skirt, H&M basic white tee, J.Crew Factory espadrilles; pearl earrings, pearls, and blue and white beads necklace (similar here and here); sunglasses (similar).
