Friday Randoms: my work-mode playlist these days
I was working on my blog, having music playing in my ears when I had the idea of sharing with you what I'm listening to, in hopes of helping you find something new and even different in terms of music.
I have to admit that I don't listen to music much these days - I mostly listen to podcasts and audiobooks. Most of the popular songs these days are far from what I'd like to be listening to, but if I have to draw out the noise around me or simply focus all my thoughts in one direction, music does it. Podcasts and audiobooks require my attention and, well, I need it all with me when I'm working on my blog or certain tasks.
I have a set playlist that I listen to over and over again that includes music from my high-school days, a lot of Linkin Park, some soundtracks, and even classical/relaxing music.
Sometimes, I go on youtube, select a song, switch autoplay mode on, one, because I don't want to keep switching from one song to another, and second, to possibly find new music. That's how I found the first songs on this playlist. So here's what I'm listening to these days:
Imagine Dragons - Whatever it takes
Imagine Dragons - Walking the wire
Kygo - This town
Kygo - Stargazing
Edward Maya - Stereo love. You might have heard this song - it was very popular here a few years ago. I became obsessed with his music and he now has a permanent place on my playlist (listen to more of his music below).
Edward Maya - Discography 2012-2014
Ludovico Einaudi - Divenire. Taking a 180 degree turn and switching to what I call modern classical music.
Ludovico Einaudi - In a time lapse
Carter Burwell - Twilight: The score. Without getting into discussion about the actual movie, I have to say I really enjoy listening to the score - I find it calming, so needless to say it's a permanent as well.
Lucas King - Linkin Park Symphony. If you like Linkin Park or not, you have to admit this is amazing work.
I hope you like my choices - these are only a small part of y playlist and if you are interested, I can share more with you.
Until next time,
XOXO,
Em
