Holiday style

Yes, I know we’re in the middle of a pandemic, and yes I know that we won’t be attending parties this year, but given the year we had, I think we shouldn’t cancel dressing up.

For many, this has been the year of loungewear, sweats, joggers, and whatnot, but the holidays only happen once a year, and we should try to make them special and different from the day-to-day.

I hear this over and over, people, especially women, feel better about themselves, and more productive when making an effort, aka, wear something nice, do their makeup, their hair, etc. I don’t know about you, but when I dress up and make myself look presentable, I also act differently. That was even truer at my desk job - dressing more professionally made me act more professional, and interact differently with people, and trust me, that does not go unnoticed.

In my eyes, the power of dressing up is undeniable, hence I wanted to share some ideas ahead of the holidays, and inspire and cajole you into stepping it up this holiday season. Do it for yourself, for your better half, your children (we know they watch and emulate), or anyone else you may think of. Trying to impress someone is not overrated.

If you’re unable to shop these days, raid your closet and choose a fancy outfit for Christmas and New Years’. If you’re looking for something new, how about these options below? Which ones do you like the best?
