Merry Christmas!
Outfit: my sweater (available in other colors); vintage brooch here.
As Christmas Day is almost here, I wanted to take a moment and wish you a peaceful and happy day.
I know many of us won’t have a normal Christmas, and I have been hearing that you are sad about not being able to spend this day with family. In spite of that, I hope and urge you to make it special nonetheless. In case you missed it - here’s how we spend our Christmas usually, just the two of us - in case this is your first Christmas without a gathering. Honestly, I’ve come to cherish our quiet day at home by ourselves. Holidays with family can be stressful, and I enjoy a pressure-free day, spent just the way we want it.
This year has forced us into something new, and, you might have heard that before, but truly, attitude is everything - take comfort in the fact that by not traveling/gathering this holiday season, you may be saving someone’s life, and because of this year, we will be appreciating our times together so much more. I also ask that you keep a list of things you’re grateful for, and revisit it often. Keep these things in your mind, and next year, when you’re at the table surrounded by all your friends and family cheering for the good times, you’ll thank 2020 for showing us what truly matters.
From the bottom of my heart…
This is the only post I’m publishing this week on the blog. As I have gotten overly-ambitious with things I want to do this Christmas, I now have a long list on my hands. Check this post as well for ideas on how to make this season more festive.
Take care and be safe!
xoxo,
Em
