My new go-to summer dress

Florida heat is surely making me rethink my wardrobe.

It’s no secret that the climate here is hot and humid, and because of that, most of the time, I can’t stand wearing clothes that touch my body. I also find myself reaching out for natural fabrics more and more as we go into the hotter months.

It’s also no secret that I love linen and I consider it to be the fabric of summer. For the last two years, I have been actively adding beautiful linen pieces to my closet as I find them.

Since our initial thoughts for Florida didn’t quite go as planned (hey, 2020, I’m looking at you), and we found ourselves here longer than anticipated, I haven’t packed accordingly. Not to mention that I wasn’t familiar with the climate to prepare in advance - I knew that it was hot and humid, just not exactly how much.

For the reasons above, I declare the dress I’m wearing in these photos my new go-to summer dress.

It’s 100% Italian linen (it’s made in Florence, one of my favorite cities), it’s breathable, doesn’t touch my body, and is stunning, in my opinion. If you love it as much as I do, you can buy it here; I’m wearing a small, but it runs big for sure.

The dress is not lined, so it can be a bit sheer, but with nude underwear, I have no problem; you can always wear a slip with it to ensure that nothing is showing. The best part about this dress though? It has pockets!!! Yes, I’m one of those people who loves having pockets on their clothing, so that I can “rest” my hands in.

Also, my favorite backpack - the one I’m wearing here (and here), and have worn all over Europe - is back in stock; get it here before it’s gone again (not affiliated with them, I just really love it).

I don’t remember where I got my hat from, but if you like it, I found similar ones here and here.

Do you love linen as much as I do?

Until next time.

xoxo,

Em
