I think it’s safe to say that summer is still here, especially as many of us are experiencing record-breaking heat right now. And with the heat settling in, it means the dress season (my favorite, haha) continues. And the airier the dress, the better!

For summer (or hot weather, really), I love tiered dresses — I think they’re flattering on just about anyone, and they’re comfortable and breathable, which makes them great options for hot days. They’re also feminine and easy to dress up or down for either an event, lunch with friends, and/or a day around town.

The dress (and shoes) I’m wearing in these photos are old, but this dress is fairly similar to mine, and I’m sharing a lot more below. In a variety of colors, textures, and necklines, I am sure you can find something to make getting ready quicker and easier.

As far as my outfit, I planned it for somewhere cute, however, as the day slipped away from us, I ended up wearing it for errands. Yes, I actually wore this for errands! As I shared, this blog reflects my true style, and the photos capture my outfits *as they are*.

While the dress is gorgeous, I can’t deny that the shoes make it stand out. I’ve had these shoes for years, and I’ve been avoiding wearing them either due to the weather (summers here are very rainy) or simply because they felt like “too much”. After a while, I have to admit that I forgot about them. As I’ve been trying to “shop my closet” lately, and wear things I haven’t worn in a while or ever, they had to come out. Even if only for running errands…
