Tiered maxi dress in cotton poplin

It’s been so cold in Florida lately, and yes, I’m lamenting; if you’re new here, know that I’m one of those people that don’t like the cold. After all, chilly weather is not what we moved here for.

I have mentioned in a previous blogpost how my current warm wardrobe is lacking since my warm clothes are stored out of state, and I’m not going to start replacing them - I hope we can make a long road trip to bring the rest of our stuff down here once we feel safe to do so.
So while I’m not buying warm clothes much, I’m still getting a dress here and there - yes, I know, great approach, but I can’t help it! Dresses really do bring me joy! Plus, they’re the only clothes I can wear in the hot and humid weather we have here normally.

My latest addition is this dress that I bought on sale, of course, and one that I’ll wear on rotation once the weather warms up. Well, we did have a few warm days between the cold ones, and I’ve already had the chance to wear it several times (at which point we took these photos).

Note: Get my favorite backpack in tan here - I can attest to the quality as I’ve dragged it through Europe, and beyond, on and off planes and trains, packed to the brim, and it still looks like new.

This dress is fully lined with cotton fabric, so it’s not exactly a light dress, but I love its volume and cut - I’m just into voluminous dresses lately. And IT HAS POCKETS! - that has become important to me.

My husband was not surprised I went for stripes again, but this time he approved as the stripes are colorful and not just the regular blue and white I usually go for.

The dress is actually on clearance now, with several sizes still available - I found it to be true to size, so if you like it, get it while you have the chance. Be advised though that sales are final, aka not returnable.

Until next time.

xoxo,

Em
