What's on my fall shopping list

My wishlist this season very much reflects what I’ve been craving this entire year — elegance. I am not focusing on trends, but rather on classic pieces I’ll wear for years.

Before I dive into it, I wanted to “speak” a bit about boots since I saw a few searches for them on my site.

I don’t ever shop for boots as I don’t need them in Florida. I do, however, have a few classic, as well as fun styles stored out-of-state.

From my previous experience living in cold climates, when it comes to boots, I would recommend investing in good-quality leather: I had a pair of knee-high boots that I had worn for several years. That’s the thing about quality leather, it tends to get better with age (especially if you properly care for it). Also, I tend to go half a size up, depending on style and fit, to account for winter socks.

If I were shopping for boots, I would consider these, these, or these for ankle boots, and these and these for knee-high boots. I would strongly consider these and these for [almost] flat-heeled knee-high boots (code SARAHFLINT-CCMARINA1 will save you 15%1st purchase only), depending on preference and lifestyle, as well as budget.

I wore dresses even in the dead of winter, so I liked to have some height on my boots, and I promise that these would look great with dresses.

Boots aside, here’s what’s on my wishlist this season:

The cap-toe shoes

These shoes as I have been seeing them everywhere lately and I can’t get them out of my head. Well, to be accurate, I’ve been seeing the originals everywhere, but I do not intend to spend that much money on anything. These are quite a close match to the exact style (I would size up)… these look great too, and these are another close match to the real deal (read sizing recommendations)…

I’m considering a few options, but I am specifically looking for these shoes in leather for durability. Decisions, decisions, and I think the Women's Laynie Slingback Pumps will be it!

*If you’re looking for more affordable options, check out these, these and these — they come in multiple colorways and fun textures.

Buckle detail shoes

I didn’t care for this style for the longest time, but recently, I have found myself smitten. I am eyeing these buckle detail slingbacks as they are exact replicas for much less, though, in all honestly, I’d prefer them in navy and in the mule version. I am still searching, but I might end up getting them in “sandstone”, or maybe try these ones from Amazon to start with.

Bouclé or tweed Blazer

I’ve been loving this oversized boucle blazer. I plan on sizing down in it. This textured blazer and this textured weave jacket are also very nice.

The lady jacket

It’s been on my wishlist for a while now and I am determined to finally get my hands on one (or more…) this season. I just need to make a decision as there are so many options out there.

I wish this lady jacket came in a different color because I love the style but not so much this green. I’m very much inclined towards this one (and it also has a great price); obviously, I adore this one but it’s above what I’d like to spend (I’m waiting on a good sale, haha). I even like and am considering this one from Amazon or this one from Abercrombie & Fitch (20% off sale coming this Thursday in the LTK app only). Ha, how am I to decide?

Cute and versatile flats

OK, I already got my hands on them, but I wanted to add these to the list as these flats have been on my wishlist from the moment I saw them; they will be absolutely perfect for fall, as well as any other season.

I’m also loving these newly released flats (friendly reminder: code SARAHFLINT-CCMARINA1 will save you 15% on your first Sarah Flint purchase — accessories included).

A few other things I’m considering are:

  • a long cardigan;

  • a neutral-colored everyday dress to wear with my scarves once the weather cools down — this one would have been perfect but I don’t want it in white or the black it came in;

  • a sweater dress;

  • a leather bag, but I can’t make up my mind on style and color;

    and a few other things I haven’t been able to find specific items on. More to come.

What’s on your fall wish list?
