White off-the-shoulders dress

March was an intense month for us here. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it was eventful, in the sense that both me and my hubby got sick, (me for the majority of the month), along with some other things happening, which stopped us from doing a lot of the things we planned for, even with the gorgeous weather that finally hit us.

So needless to say, we were happy to leave March behind, and, with the first weekend in good health and nice weather, we were out of the city, exploring SoCal once more.

With all the rain we've been getting in So Cal this year, it's no wonder everything is blooming all around us - and I'm loving it. But a girl can never have enough flowers, am I right? So we headed to Carlsbad, CA to the Flower Fields - 50 acres of blooming ranunculus flowers. And it was amazing - up until leaving. It took us 45 minutes to only get out of the parking lot - AWFUL! But let's focus on the good here. I mean, just this view alone brought me a lot of inner happiness. We strolled for hours, surrounded by such beauty.

Speaking of beauty, the dress I'm wearing here, believe it or not, is from Walmart. I was there one day to get some essentials and saw it - I could not believe the price, how pretty and well made this dress was. I mentioned before that I don't care about brands - if I find an item I love - I buy it. So, for me, buying this cotton dress was a no-brainer - seriously, it's perfect! It can be worn the way I'm wearing it here, or off the shoulders.

If you find it at your Walmart (or stocked online) - do yourself a favor and grab it! But be aware, it runs a bit big - I'm wearing a small here and I think I could have gotten away with wearing an extra-small (but of course, the size was not available).

If you like my sandals, find them here - I wore them for the first time, and for all the walking I've done, they were pretty comfortable - I had no complaints.

The hat can be found here, and I love the idea of monogramming it - added to my list.
By the way, am I a bad person for feeling envious of the people living in those buildings behind me? I mean, seriously, can you get a better view? Not to mention that, apart from the flowers, they also get a glimpse of the ocean... How lucky!

Have you ever visited this place?

As always, thanks for reading - have a wonderful week ahead!
