About getaways...
Dress details in this post.
Life gets into some sort of rhythm that keeps us on our toes, and, truly, it can be difficult to break out of it at times. Some of us are sticklers for a set schedule and routine, and it can be quite disruptive doing anything different. But different is a good thing and a necessary one in some dose or another, depending on our lifestyle because it pushes us to grow. Life just gets boring and uninspiring when everything is planned and lived to the T. Or so it does for me.
I’ve noticed that in recent years, planning hasn’t been my strongest suit, as I like to “be surprised”, hence, traveling and even changing our routine was an exciting and dreadful thing, both at the same time. Of course, it has a lot to do with the state of the world these last few years, but also, other things, which, if I’m being honest with myself, sum up to mean getting out of my comfort zone. Whoa, this comfort zone is surely a dangerous affair!
For that reason, make it a priority, and take getaways as often as possible, even if just for one day. Break your routine! It will give you an escape from your everyday life, help clear your head, and, of course, see and experience new things, which in turn will get your creative juices flowing, no matter your job, lifestyle, etc. It might even change your life, because as boring and predictable as it may be, sometimes, things do come out of nowhere and virtually, turn it upside down. Let’s hope and manifest that such circumstances are positive ones!
The bottom line is that getaways are good for us, even if they make us feel “behind” with work and life.
In closing, the weekend is here — where will you get away to?
