Accidental sightseeing
Don't you love it when you discover amazing places with no advance planning? Cause we certainly do!
On days when we either get a late start or don't make any plans, we drive around neighborhoods, admiring houses, gardens and so on. And that's what we did a few weekends back.
While driving, we got stuck on a one-way street so we had no other choice but to keep driving. And that's how we found this amazing historical amphitheater and we were so glad we did. This place made me think of old Athens, not that I've been there, but one day, right?
It happened that I was wearing this same dress I posted about a few posts back, that I bought from a website I absolutely love, ASOS. Just look at the dress and you'll understand why I love it so much... I figured this would be an amazing place for an impromptu photoshoot, but honestly, it's all-around incredible, photoshoot compatible or not... The stonework, the stairs and the 360 views of the surrounding cities make it the perfect place for seating down and taking it all in.
Look at the views - no wonder we spend hours here, I just couldn't have enough... Tip: if you decide to visit this place, note that parking is very limited so plan accordingly.
Sit down, take a moment and enjoy a quiet, beautiful place, shade courtesy of our kind Mother Nature..
If you want more information on this gorgeous place, you can visit their homepage. I recommend you visit it though if you are in the area.
What is the best place you discovered by accident?
As always, thanks for reading.
