Fall colors
It's official! Fall is here, even if only in the calendar so far. To be honest though, we did have fall-like weather here in So Cal for about two weeks, but weren't here to enjoy it -we were having the time of our lives in 90+ degrees somewhere else (yes, I'm being a little sarcastic - I mean, we had fun, but did not enjoy the hot weather). And I say we HAD fall-like weather because the weatherman is promising 90+ degrees days here too, once again. It really isn't surprising, since summer does not leave us here until about mid-November and we got used to that and even came to love it. But enough with the weather talk - it was only supposed to introduce today's outfit.
While the rest of the country is embracing sweater-weather and pulling out their chic trench coats (yes, I'm jealous), we, here try to improvise with fall-fashion adjusted to our climate, by including colors appropriate for the season - rust or darker orange, darker florals, and the popular burgundy or wine.
I bought this wide-legged rusty crop pants (similar here, here and here) about a month ago but didn't get to wear them until now, and most likely won't stop wearing. I am already styling them in my head with a chunky white sweater or even shirts. For this warm weather though, I chose this off-the-shoulder swing top (on sale but sadly, no longer available in white (long-sleeve version here), my favorite espadrilles (size down at least half a size, they run big), and my must-have straw fedora (similar here - on sale, and here, ). It turned out to be the perfect outfit for a warm day.
What does fall fashion include for you?
Thanks for reading!
XOXO,
