Gifts for the book lover
Each year around this time (and even much earlier), the internet and retail world is full of gift ideas for anyone you can imagine. I have shared on this blog many gift ideas as well over the years, but today, I wanted to share some that, in my eyes, can be life-changing - books. As a book lover myself, I can always appreciate a gift in the form of a book, but especially this year.
As we’ve been staying home more this year, and some of us found ourselves with more time on our hands, books have come back into the spotlight; especially as there has been so much negativity, I turned to books whenever I needed to escape and/or occupy my mind with something other than this year’s events. For that reason, I wanted to share these books as gift ideas in this giving season we find ourselves in. All these picks are books I would personally love to have and read. And the best part is that all these books are from small bookshops, to support small businesses.
From travel books hoping to transport your dear ones to favorite places, to books that would help them escape reality via cozy novels, to those that would take them back in time through the eyes of notorious figures, or the books for self-discovery, I’m sure you can find something that they would like. And, while you’re at it, don’t forget to add a fun bookmark to the list to mark your loved one’s way through the pages.
