My go-to beauty products during hot weather
This SoCal heat's been no joke. It's been about two months now since the temperatures haven't gone below the 90s, humidity's been sticking around and overall, it's been pretty miserable around here. I don't know about you, but the high heat and humidity literally squeeze the energy out of me.
So, these days I try to keep my beauty regimen as quick and simple as possible. I found just the products to help me with that and work for me. You know I'm all about easy - easy style, easy beauty... These products became my go-to for easy, no-fuss beauty, which work just as well during the cold weather; keep on reading to see what they are...

I can't go one day without washing my hair. I don't care what experts are saying, we all know what works best for us. I don't like bringing the toxic city air and dust with me to bed, so I wash my hair every single night (I talked about my hair-habits more here). I tend to change my shampoo a lot (are you surprised?), depending on what my hair needs or feels like, but my go-to usually is this shampoo and conditioner or this and this (I wrote about this brand here).
On the days when I feel my hair needs a little extra help because it's been too hot or I used too much product, I use this charcoal clarifying shampoo, which really is amazing and I fully recommend it. Don't worry, it will not leave any charcoal residue and it won't dry your hair - it just leaves it clean and soft. It's also VERY affordable so for these reasons it became my must-have.
But, if you don't wash your hair every single day like me, the dry shampoo will just do the trick according to Allure.
After washing my hair and towel-drying it, I follow with hair oil to help with the detangling. I use several different ones, depending on what my hair needs, but it's either this one (which smells amazing), this one, or this one. I follow with this hair mousse to tame any left flyaways and give it a bit more volume/shape. That's just about it. Yes, you read that right.
I don't remember the last time I blow-dried my hair. I used to be terrified of letting my hair air-dry but it's been working great actually. The hair mousse helps with the frizziness — the key is to have it dry by the time your head hits the pillow.
Oh, speaking about that, I have been using a silk pillowcase for over a year now (I bought these ones, use and wash constantly and they're still doing their job) and it's been great.
The next day, before leaving the house, I only use this hairspray, which instantly lifts my hair and keeps it in place.
As far as skincare, I make sure I clean my face well, before bed, again, to remove all the toxins and residue deposited throughout the day. I use my Clarisonic brush almost daily and follow with this alcohol-free facial toner. And to keep the regimen short, but still, ensure my skin is being taken care of, I apply this overnight moisture mask.
These are my go-to products and easy tips for surviving these hot days. Do you have any others? Please share them with me - I'd love to know.

Until next time.
