#targetstyle Who What Wear Midi-dress
After a week of winter temperatures (I'm talking low 60s in May, in San Diego - what's up with that SoCal?), the weekend came and hit us with 90 degrees weather. I didn't dare complain, after praying for days for warmer weather (careful what you ask for, huh?). Anyway, I was happy for the warm weather so I could finally wear my new dresses like this "Who What Wear" sleeveless midi-dress.
This dress is perfect for summer or any warm weather and is exactly what I had in mind when I said that Target has become dangerous, budget-wise, of course. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. It's agreed upon that stripes are timeless and the feminine style of this dress is what "sealed the deal" for me. It's very light (yes, you might need a slip underneath), which makes it a great choice for the hot summer days.
Of course, I had to pair the dress with my espadrilles, white cat-eye sunglasses and yes, a floppy hat to complete the look.
This dress runs big though. I'm wearing a size 'small' and I wonder if I could have fit in an extra-small. I couldn't find out because the extra-small was already sold-out in store. As is, I had to try a few stores until I found this dress in a "small".
I don't consider myself to have a "small frame", however, it seems that most times I try something on, I almost never get the right size. It seems that every single brand or store has its own sizes that match no other. Due to my pear-shaped body, anything top-wise and most dress types, I have to go from extra-small to small just about with any brand, while jeans and pants sizes vary quite a bit. This is the reason I don't shop online for clothes or shoes and I could never do my shopping that way, so I'm hoping stores will never go away. I mean, who has the time to returns items?
Does anyone else struggle with sizing, as I do?
Disclosure: At no cost to you, I might get a commission if you click or make a purchase through the links in this post.
Shop the cat-eye sunglasses here, similar hat here, here, and here, exact espadrilles here (love them but they run big - go a half size down).
Do you prefer shopping in-store or online?
Until next time.
XOXO,
Em
