Tweed skirt for spring

DSC07951_edited.jpg

I have lost track of how many times spring has come and left us this year, and yet we keep on waiting for it. After a cool week, it finally decided to warm up and, once again, I pulled out my spring wardrobe.

Lately, I've felt like putting together simple outfits, which made me reach for white tees almost on a regular basis. However, when I say simple I don't mean boring. I've been pairing those white tees with pieces that "catch the eye" (see also here). There's nothing eye-catching about a white tee and jeans so I've been reaching for my skirts instead.

You might not associate tweed with spring but I think it works great with the transitional temperatures we're experiencing during this season. I bought this tweed skirt a while ago and I've been waiting patiently for the day when I can wear it. I really liked the colors and the "draped" asymmetrical silhouette which were what attracted me to it in the first place. Unfortunately, the skirt is sold out online but I found some similar ones here, here, here and here.

I was thinking of wearing white tennis shoes like these with this outfit but went with mules instead of a more feminine look. Honesty, I love how simple yet chic this outfit is.

Would you wear tweed in spring?

Until next time.
