BareSkin Liquid Foundation & Pure Brightening Serum
I have been using foundation for many years now. While I have tried many over the years, with the wave of clean beauty and trying to live a healthier lifestyle, I began looking for options that are either free of or have fewer nasties.

This brought me to discovering BareMinerals, and I have to say that I’m just about obsessed with them. I have tried several of their products, like this that has become one of my favorite serums, this neutral lipstick, and others (check my Shop page for more), and I’ve been pretty happy with them all.
And while it seems that I’m late to the party, and this product may be discontinued, I wanted to share my love for the BareSkin Liquid Foundation & Pure Brightening Serum, still available on Amazon.
This foundation has a water-like consistency and the key to applying it successfully is shaking the container really well prior. What I really love about it is that I can apply it directly onto my skin - no moisturizer needed - for a full day of flawless coverage. I do have oily skin, which might be helping with the no-need of moisturizer, however, my makeup remains intact and shine-free throughout the day when wearing this foundation. In my case, I definitely found that it works best applied directly to the skin. I’m also very happy about the fact that it does not clog my pores, and, like it promises, it makes my skin look better, texture and appearance-wise.
The foundation has light coverage but is buildable, meaning, you can apply more than one layer, for fuller coverage, while still looking natural on your skin, as long as it’s blended well. For blending, I use this sponge or this one, after quickly running it under water, and squeezing well prior to dubbing the product onto my skin for a smooth and dewy finish. Though sometimes, I use this face brush. If needed after, I recommend the concealer from the same line, to cover any other imperfections.
Using this product has sped up my morning routine a lot, and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for a light clean-beauty foundation.
Have you tried BareMinerals products before? If so, what did you think of them?
Until next time.

Em
