Friday favorites
I'm reintroducing my Friday favorites - things that have made my week a little better, one way or another.
We all have busy lives and oftentimes forget to enjoy the little things. Through this series, I am reminding myself of the things that made this past week and you can expect it to be anything. I hope I can inspire you to do the same.
Now, shall we?
Orchid buds - one good consequence of our very cold apartment during the winter season. I'm obsessed with orchids - seriously. I had a time when I couldn't stop myself from buying every time I came across one. They were dying not long after, leaving me heartbroken and disappointed with my skills (I thought I am pretty good at keeping plants alive). I think I have finally figured it out if I can say so. I'm not doing anything special - I'm actually neglecting them for the most part. I have definitely found that they need to be protected from direct sunlight - it burns them, and remove any stagnant water, which is killing them. Also, once-blooming, do not spray/pour any water on the flowers - they will fall shortly after. I water them only when I can feel that the pot is light (could be about once a month during cooler seasons and about two weeks in the warm months - that's it! I can't wait for my new blooms.
Coffee pods, meow mug here. I am trying to eliminate coffee from my diet. OK, to be really honest, I wish to give up coffee, because I know I'm not trying hard enough. Some days I can go without it, some days I can't even fathom the idea, so here I am. Truth is, I don't enjoy the taste of coffee anymore but when I need to stay awake these help. It is important to me for the coffee to be organic, or the very least, NON-GMO, another reason these have made the list.
HASK hair oil. I will be posting in more detail about this brand and why I love it so much. For now, I can say that these are life-savers. When I need to quickly detangle my hair and still keep it moisturized, these come to the rescue. Quick and easy - just how I like it.
What has made your week?
Until next time.
XOXO,
Em
