Gingham for spring
It's official: gingham is not for your picnic table only!
Spring is on its way and I am ready to incorporate colors and patterns that would welcome the warm weather. Gingham, in my opinion, is one of those timeless patterns that work for almost any season. Usually made of cotton or lighter fabric, it is the perfect addition to a spring/summer wardrobe.
For some reason, I've avoided this pattern for the longest time until I found this top that simply won me over. I don't care that off-shoulders trend is out the door in 2018. If you've been reading this blog for a while, you must have figured out by now that I don't exactly follow trends and I wear whatever I like and feel comfortable in.

Since we had a warm weekend in between some cooler days, I felt like wearing light colors so I pulled my white boyfriend jeans I haven't worn in forever - don't ask me why - to pair with this top.
A spring outfit must be paired with espadrilles. Whoever invented those was a genius. Not only comfortable but also so stylish and in infinite styles, espadrilles have become staples in my closet and well, the entire fashion world. I simply adore them.
And yes, I took this outfit to the beach, although it turned to be a little cooler there than expected - oh well. We still enjoyed walking and watching the waves and some funny birds running all over the beach.
My top is old but I found some other similar ones I like here, here, here and here.
I'm curious - do you follow fashion trends?
Until next time.
XOXO,
Em
