WHAT I/WE DID
March was a good month over here, even if we didn’t do much. We had good weather, which means that we spent as much time outside as possible. Which brought us plenty of joy. Oh, and we did venture to the mall on a hot weekend… that didn’t bring us that much joy, ha-ha. The malls just aren’t our place these days…
We went to the annual Chiselers market (a favorite!) and found a few gems, some other arts and crafts-type festivals and markets in the area, and so on. So yes, you can say that March was filled with shopping-related activities.

WHAT I BOUGHT
After very few purchases in February, I went overboard in March… These are a few of the things I bought this month as there were plenty of “offline” great finds that I couldn’t pass, but didn’t find online… In my defense, so far, the offerings are good, and I can’t stop myself! Without further ado, here’s the list:
This dress. You know I’m a sucker for this silhouette, pleats, and stripes. Oh, and pockets, of course. Boy, they just get me every time, because as soon as I saw this dress, I bought it… 🤪.
This linen-blend dress, of course.
This linen-cotton dress. I’ll be sharing all the details next week, however, if you want to purchase it before then, know that, as far as sizing, I did not find it to run big, like the website says.
This bucket bag. I just received it and I love it!
In a moment of weakness, I got these shoes in nude and white.
Followed my own advice and refreshed my underwear drawer.
Added another silk scarf to my collection — I just really wanted this one.
A Northern Star signet ring. For no reason other than that I just wanted one, all of the sudden.
MY MOST WORN ITEM IN march
It’s a tie between this bag (full review coming soon, but it’s a good one!) and the Sarah Flint Natalie slings in Gold Saffiano… mostly because they go together so well, but also, because I love them both. Plus, I do like to somewhat match my shoes with my bag.
WHAT WE WATCHED
Wonka. Loved it even if it’s not something I’d typically watch.
The Holdovers. Definitely a good movie, even if it’s a bit slow.
Poor Things. Emma Stone was incredible in this, but the movie is just… a no for me.
Oppenheimer. Okay, we started watching it, but stopped… We tried to erase Poor Things from our minds by watching this, however, it didn’t help. Don’t get me wrong, I fully agree with it winning the Oscar. I believe the movie is incredible, and we will definitely finish watching it, but in that moment, we needed something more lighthearted, so we ended on…
Red Notice. I enjoyed this movie — just the entertainment we needed.
Ricky Stanicky. I actually enjoyed it.
The Golden Girls. There was a lot of this as we got caught up on, or finished shows we’ve been watching (Resident Alien — my absolute favorite, and Death and Other Details) and didn’t feel like starting anything else.
WHAT I READ
The Lost Summers of Newport by Beatriz Williams. “From the New York Times bestselling team of Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White—a novel of money and secrets set among the famous summer mansions of Newport, Rhode Island, spanning over a century from the Gilded Age to the present day.”
I have to admit that at some point, I couldn’t put this book down, but there were definitely some chapters that were lacking, and the ending, while a happy one, you could say, felt “dry”. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the book.
Secrets on the Italian Island by T.A. Williams. “Anna’s job as a geologist takes her all over the world, including to the beautiful island of Elba, where she’s sent to look for precious metals. And the island isn’t the only thing that’s gorgeous – she can’t believe her luck when she meets windsurfer Marco and sparks fly.

After reading almost exclusively historical novels for the past year, I decided to switch it up and go for something light. I started this book a few days ago, but so far, I’m enjoying it.
