March was full of color…

WHAT I/WE DID

March was a pretty good month for us, and we did our best to take advantage of the final weeks of gorgeous weather here before the miserable heat sets in.

For the first time in the several years we’ve been here, we caught the River O’ Green, aka the annual coloring of the river for Saint Patrick’s Day. We also attended another annual event we try never to miss — the Chiselers Market, and came home with some great finds, mainly consisting of jewelry pieces and various knick-knacks.

Something we did in March (at the end), and I do want to touch upon, was us (my husband and I) trying this foot peeling mask. For the uninitiated, consider this a warning — do not try this if you’re time-pressed! Read on for more…

I had no idea what we were truly getting into, even if I read the instructions beforehand. Don’t get me wrong, this works, but do I want to do it ever again? No! The whole process was long (a little under two weeks for us), messy, and mostly unpleasant. Unpleasant because we had to wear socks 24/7 for the duration of this experience (all that little by little peeling skin 24/7 has to be contained somehow), and because the feeling itself is not pleasant. In the first few days, the top skin feels incredibly tight, as if it’ll explode, though the feeling eases after. I also experienced itchiness from the dried skin. I thought I should share our experience in case you were curious about trying those feet peeling masks.

That about wraps up our March…

March BLOG POSTS ROUNDUP

Spring fashion was front and center on the blog this past March. Here’s a roundup of what I published…

Pastels for spring. I decided to go for something different for spring, and I’m glad I did.

5 things that bring me joy this week. The weekly series about finding joy in the little things… Read Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4.

Dopamine dressing. At the end of the day, wearing color is what makes me happy, so color it is!

Fun spring and summer earrings. My weakness (aka, earrings) needed a spring refresh.

Linen spring dresses. Yes, I am obsessed with linen, and always on the lookout for beautiful pieces in this fabric. I shared plenty of great finds in this post.

Midi skirts for spring. I also love midi skirts and shared some great ones in this post.

A timeless classic shirt dress. I’m so happy I finally got this shirt dress — it’s a true classic!

A blue and ivory spring dress and more spring style finds. A dress that I needed as soon as I saw it — a gorgeous, ethereal dress for the warm seasons.

What I bought

I had my eye on these for a while, and decided to go for them, so…

This dress, which, of course, appeared in this blog post (or more like, ignited it).

This halter dress (with pockets). Runs a bit tight in the waist area — size up if you’re in between sizes.

This dress (runs big, I’d recommend sizing down) and…

This dress (with pockets).

MY MOST WORN ITEM(s) IN March

Nothing but the best…

This shirt dress, of course (it’s really that good!)

These Sarah Flint slingbacks (reviewed here).

This leather basket bag (I recommend buying from the brand set as the seller/shipper). It just goes with so many items in my closet!

These pearl earrings (these are very similar and oh-so-gorgeous!)

These sunglasses, of course (my go-to, and I have them in three colors).

The locally found leather tote I’ve been wearing almost non-stop (similar here, here, and here).

WHAT I READ

I’m still reading The Count of Monte Cristo, as the version I’m reading is unabridged and a long one.

In no way am I reading this book for the first time, and I have to admit it took me a bit to get into at first, only because I remember how it begins all too well (and it will stir all kinds of feelings).

However, this book packs a lot, so there is always something new to “discover”. This time, some of the events occur in places we visited, and I am seeing them with new eyes. All to say, this book is a true masterpiece (though one not everyone will love), and it might have been the reason for my absence here last week… Oops…

What we watched

Nothing else but Gilmore Girls

SONG OF THE MONTH

I mean…

WHAT CAUGHT MY EYE ON THE INTERNET

I’m drooling over this viral dress, and not sure it’ll be back in stock.

This slip dress from the same collection is gorgeous!

Loving this eyelet dress!

I am so drooling over this necklace (it’s on my wishlist), this one, and this pearl choker necklace!

The new arrivals at Sarah Flint are eye candy! I want this waist belt, these slingbacks are pulling at my heart’s strings, and these Mary Jane flats are beyond spring perfection!

This J.Crew shirtress is a lovely piece for spring and summer!

New Jersey’s Holland Ridge Farms has 8 Million Blooms, a 100-foot Windmill, and Dutch Treats This Spring — a spring dream!

Have you watched any of these? The Best TV Shows and New Series of 2025 (So Far). More here.

So long, March… Hello, April — can we be the best of friends, please?!
