happy views…

You can check out the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here. It’s a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things—those small joys that make a difference in our daily lives.

Does anyone remember January was like yesterday? Does anyone think how it’s already April (okay, almost)? In all honesty, I have no major problem with the next several years flying by, and I know I’m not alone in this… but, anyway, just some thoughts going through my head these days…

It’s been a good week so far, even if it feels like it’s moving slowly, and I’ve surely been keeping busy. Summer temperatures are here all of a sudden (feeling not too joyful about that), but I am loving the happy birds and their trills, as a result.

Anyway, here are some things that bring me joy this week:

  • rediscovering forgotten items in my closet. I think this happens to all of us (I’m trying to make myself feel better here)… Things get pushed to the back and, consequently, become forgotten. I did a bit of organizing in my closet these past few days, and I have “rediscovered” some things, I’m not proud to admit, I forgot about. They did bring me joy… once I got over the shame.

  • cleaning some of my jewelry. I use this cleaning solution, and it does a good job (please follow the instructions and ensure you’re using it for the proper metals/jewelry so you don’t ruin them). Giving “new life” to “tired” jewelry sure brings joy!

  • cleaning my makeup brushes. Okay, there may be a theme here, but it’s spring, and it inevitably gets me in a cleaning and organizing mood. That, plus having clean makeup brushes (and sponges), truly brings me joy!

  • dopamine dressing! Because it just does, says science (and me)!

  • deep-conditioning my hair. I don’t do it often, but when I remember to, the way my hair feels and looks after sure brings joy. I love, love this deep-conditioner! I also recommend this one — try it in the summertime (it’s cooling and smells divine), and thank me later.

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
