5 things that bring me joy this week
Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.
How are you feeling this week? Really? Take a moment and think about this question, and if you need a little pick me up, please peruse this list I put together in hopes of uplifting us all during some strange times…
Anyway, I am finally feeling a bit more energized after having the Monday-est Monday, and slowly getting myself back together on Tuesday… If you missed it, I recapped our July here — it was a peculiar month, for sure. Moving on…
As usual, here are 5 [random] things that bring me joy this week:
exploring more of Saint Petersburg (or any area, really). There are so many hidden gems there and we love to [right now] just drive around, because it’s so hot, hoping to return and explore on foot once the temperatures go down. Exploring always brings joy!
shopping my closet. I am ashamed to admit that I have several dresses and other clothing items I’ve not had a chance to wear so far or have forgotten about. I have been making a point to do that lately (like this dress I’m wearing here, or getting out this leather basket bag), and honestly, rediscovering these pieces brings me joy.
this foundation that stays put even in Florida’s humidity. If you’ve ever experienced your makeup melting off your face, you know the joy of finding a foundation that doesn’t do that. I mentioned I tried it before and didn’t like it at the time, so I’m not sure what’s changed now, but I’m loving it. Truly, my makeup stays intact throughout the day, so if you have oily skin and are looking for a foundation that lasts, maybe give it a try?
a good thunderstorm and the rainbows after. Yep, these may make this list often since it’s the rainy season in Florida, and the truth is, yes, they bring me joy! We’ve been getting some really good ones lately.
a freshly cleaned bathroom. I mean, a freshly cleaned home brings joy, but there’s something even better about a freshly cleaned bathroom. Ha, the things we find joyful these days…
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
xo,
Em
