5 things that bring me joy this week
Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.
As I’m writing this, hurricane Helene is making its way somewhere towards us, and per usual, we’re bracing for it, while hoping and praying for low impact. We’ve prepped as much as we could and now, we wait… And as we know, it’s the waiting that’s the scariest…
In other news, it’s somewhat unbelievable that September is almost over… Time sure seems to press fast-forward, though I won’t lie I’m eagerly looking forward to cooler weather. And I really mean cool, not cold…
With that said, here’s this week’s random list of 5 things that are distracting me from the issue at hand (aka, Helene):
this dress I tried to forget but couldn’t. I mean, this is how it looks on me — can you blame me? I tried it in XS (wearing it in the photo), and for whatever reason, decided to go with a small instead, to only find that a small is just frumpy, as in, too big on me, and exchanged it back to XS. I regret nothing!
cozying with a book in the evenings. I’ve fallen behind on my reading this month and I have been trying to catch up. It’s a “ritual” that always brings joy.
this dress being back in stock in a long-sleeve version. The short-sleeve version I have, sold out quickly, so if you want it, I’d recommend you get it before it’s gone — this is the kind of dress you can wear for any occasion and feel beautiful in! Mine really does bring me joy! Size up if you are in between sizes or have a larger chest.
finding a necklace I thought I’d lost. I’m sure I’m not the only one who “loses” things at the bottom of the closet without realizing it. Not until I remembered I hadn’t seen *that necklace* in a while. Queue the frantic search to finally come across it in some forgotten corner. Oh, the joy and relief! Clearly, I need a better system…
pumpkin goodies from Trader Joe’s. Okay, admittedly, I’m not a huge pumpkin fan but, with the season, I can find myself craving it once in a while. And good thing it’s just the season at Trader Joe’s!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
xo,
Em
