Summer linen dresses
Summer definitely arrived early here with this heatwave that’s taking over the entire East Coast, and, in order to survive it, I wear linen. In case you couldn’t tell already, I am a huge linen fan, especially for summer and hot weather as I love the look of it, as well as its movement.
As far as the benefits of wearing linen, I like that this fabric doesn't stick to the skin, is breathable (which is super important, especially in Florida), and absorbs moisture, thus keeping you comfortable. Linen is pretty much the perfect fabric in my eyes, the only downside to it being that it requires ironing for the best look, or, at the very least, that’s what I think.
As we’re heading into the hot months of the year, opt for linen dresses to beat the heat.
And though I think it’s not always easy finding affordable linen pieces that are also cute, I was able to put together quite the selection of summer linen dresses below. Wear them with espadrilles or sandals, a straw hat, and a straw bag for a full summer look. And, to accessorize, don’t forget to put on a pair of earrings - check this post for a lot of affordable and adorable options, and check this post for jewelry from Black-owned businesses.
Which linen dress is your favorite?
*Please note that some of these dresses are a linen blend, while many are made of pure linen.
My dress is a few years old but still one I adore.
Until next time.

Em
