Dalia MacPhee blue and white dress
Disclosure: Dalia was very kind and sent this dress to me. However, since I’ve purchased and worn her dresses before, you know my love is real (so real in fact, that I just bought this dress which is also available here — note that it’s going fast; if you’re in between sizes, go up!). Read on for details about this Dalia MacPhee blue and white dress and tips on how to wear it.
My love for blue and white is well known, given that I’ve been “shouting” about it on every occasion I get. With that said, it’s not hard to guess that when I saw it, I immediately wanted this dress (also available here in limited sizes — hurry up and get it before it’s gone!).
It’s not the first time I have shared this designer’s dresses on my blog — I have been admiring Dalia MacPhee’s creations for several years now, and I’m slowly building a collection of them. I say this without exaggeration: when I wear a Dalia MacPhee dress, I feel BEAUTIFUL and happy! And if you’ve ever read this blog before, you know that I am a big proponent of wearing what makes me happy, even if it means being “overdressed”!
*For reference, I find her dresses to fit true to size and to be well-made.
But about this particular dress…
To start with, this dress is blue & white perfection! Incredibly light and silky to the touch, it feels dreamy and would be ideal for bringing on vacation (especially if it includes a Mediterranean destination like Greece, Italy, Portugal, and/or Spain). It is flowy and airy which makes it comfortable even on hot summer days (I would know since we’re already in full summer mode here in Florida).
You can dress it up for any occasion with gold sandals (I have them in sand calf and can confidently recommend them; these are great, too), or for a day of exploring by wearing it with these traditional Capri-style flat sandals — the options are endless. I chose to wear it with espadrilles for a day out.
The dress can be worn two ways: with tie-shoulders, or without the ties as they are removable. It fits true-to-size and due to its V-neck design and somewhat stretchy fabric, it can definitely accommodate a larger chest, however, I would recommend using fashion tape to secure it. It is partially lined and not see-through; on my 5’ 5”, it’s a true maxi. The smocked waist makes it super-comfortable and looks very feminine.
As the dress is selling out, bookmark this page and check back if your size is currently gone — I’ll be sure to note here if there is a restock. If your size is available, grab it because it’s worth it! 😉
