A dress that stands out...
I’ve talked about this Dalia MacPhee dress several times already on my social channels, and I figured it’s time I shared it on the blog, too because it’s that good! As in, stunning, don’t you agree?
As it usually goes with me and dresses, this one too, stopped me in my tracks. The print, the regal-like silhouette, and the details are pretty unique, and I think we already established that my goal isn’t to look like everyone else, but rather wear what makes me happy… And this dress does make me happy!
This navy floral dress is perfect for any fall event (and beyond) like weddings (as a wedding guest dress, of course), Thanksgiving, brunch, and whatever else comes your way. It’s fairly lightweight and perfectly flowy — I love the way it moves!
As far as sizing, I’d say it runs true to size, although, if you’re in between sizes and/or have a larger chest, I recommend sizing up! The fabric has a bit of stretch but not a lot. The dress is not lined, but you don’t have to worry about it being see-through. The buttons are functional (and oh-so-pretty).
As predicted, the exact dress I’m wearing sold out quickly, but it was brought back in a long-sleeve version available here and here.
Outfit details: dress here and here; shoes (mostly sold out); sunglasses; pearl drop earrings (almost identical).

Overall, I truly love this dress, but I only wish the bodice was connected to the skirt a bit lower as the belt sits on the ribcage, rather than the waist. Of course, you can wear it lower as the belt is unattached.
I like to wear this dress with and without the belt as it looks great either way.
