Add a little sparkle this holiday season
There’s no denying that sequins are festive, and now, as the holidays are upon us, it is their time to shine. And depending on the occasion, as well as the overall look, they can be quite elegant. They come in many styles and forms, and it’s no wonder they are a favorite for this time of the year.
When wearing them, in my eyes, the key is not overdoing it. For example, if you’re wearing a sequined dress, let the sequins do the talking and grab the attention by keeping your accessories and shoes simple (a classic [kitten heel] pump will do).
To keep it classy, if you’re wearing sequined bottoms (pants, skirts like this one and this one, etc.), make sure to keep it simple at the top - pair them with a cami top or a sweater that is not overwhelming in style or print - this one and this one are great options. The same rule applies to sequined tops - keeping the bottoms simple will ensure a more elegant look overall.
