Holiday style: the pleated dress
I don’t know about you, but I really love a pleated dress; apart from their movement, they look elegant, chic, and fun at the same time, and in my mind, they are the perfect choice for holiday style, or why not, an elegant occasion. You simply can’t go wrong with wearing a pleated dress!
This dress I’m wearing is old by “A New Day” from Target, and I remember it causing a frenzy at the time it was available. I even got offers to sell it but refused as I couldn’t part with it. If you do come across it be aware that it is pretty tight in the chest area, and if you have a generous bust, it might not work for you. Otherwise, I really have no complaints about it; for reference, I’m wearing it in size S - plenty of room in the waist area, and as mentioned, it’s fitted in the chest.
The dress is perfect for fall color-wise, and if we were going anywhere for Thanksgiving, I’d be wearing it. Instead, I wore it for a fun day visiting museums in Sarasota and felt great in it. Because it’s still relatively warm here, I paired it with my go-to shoes - espadrilles.

As far as styling for the holidays, wear your dress with a pair of kitten heels for comfort — I really love these ones, or either gold heels or glam sandals or flats, whatever fits your style more. For extra glam, add a chunky bracelet and statement earrings like these, or delicate stud earrings like these or these that won’t overpower busier prints.
