My most complimented dress…
Is this R.Vivimos dress I bought from Amazon a few years ago. And I mean it — whenever I wear it I get compliments from total strangers. I wonder if it’s because it’s one of my most worn dresses ever? Anyway…
I have it in Green-1 (a sage-green color) and in Burgundy#1 and I bought them at the height of the pandemic when cottagecore was at its peak. I do, however, wear them to this day.
And in all honesty, I love these dresses. They’re incredibly comfortable, flattering, and as flowy as my heart likes them. They’re the easiest to throw on, yet look as if you put in some effort. In fact, this is the reason I’ve worn them so many times — they’re effortless and feminine, and I feel beautiful in them. They are, however, on the casual side.
The fabric is fairly soft and lightweight, and there’s a lot of it. If full skirts aren’t your thing, this dress might not be for you.
In case you’re wondering, the dresses are lined, however, the lighter colors can be see-through (but don’t worry, I have a ton of solutions for that here).
As mentioned, I’ve worn these dresses a lot since I purchased them (in 2021, to be exact — I had to go back in time on my blog and find it along with the detailed review).
I also washed them numerous times in the washing machine and after all these years, they’ve held up perfectly. Just know that they need good steaming or ironing — the fabric is cotton, so it wrinkles.
As far as sizing, they’re TTS. The top is smocked so it can easily accommodate weight fluctuations. Since I bought them, more colors and styles have been added, and I have to say they’re all beautiful (ah, where was this blue when I bought mine?).
I don’t see myself buying another one as my style is leaning more towards classics these days, but I can promise you that I will still wear the ones I have whenever I need to feel beautiful without much effort. Plus, they are just perfect for the summer.
If you’re looking for a lightweight and feminine dress that’s also affordable, may I suggest these? Summer will sure be breezier in them!
