Refresh your spring closet with fun accessories
An easy way to refresh or update our closet for spring is by incorporating a few new accessories.
As we go back and forth between spring and summer weather here, this week, I have been obsessed with accessories, and how I can use them to refresh my existing wardrobe. That led me to check some of my favorite places to shop, and, no surprise there, the selection is adorable! That, of course, inspired today’s post — basically a wishlist of accessories for spring.
I usually like to coordinate my accessories, and especially my sunglasses with what I wear. Since most of my clothes, and many things I own are light-colored or have white in them, I pretty much end up wearing the same white sunglasses you see me a lot in. I have no shame in that because I absolutely love them. The other times, you’ll most likely find me wearing these tortoiseshell sunglasses (seen here), which are also favorites, and I bought them specifically for our trip to Europe in 2019. Also, you’re not wrong, there’s definitely a trend here — I love cat-eyes!
I got the white sunglasses at Target a few years ago (these ones are somewhat similar), and they’re my go-to as they match the majority of what I have in my closet. However, I have to admit that I get tired of them sometimes. For that reason, I’ve been eyeing the sunglasses linked below, especially the acetate and the tortoiseshell ones. They look somewhat neutral but in no way boring!
New fun bags, raffia and/or wicker accent belts, and floral scarves and scrunchies make it easy to infuse spring into your looks. The best part about them is that they can be worn now, as well as during the summer, or, if you’re in Florida, year-round.
Tip: If you’re not a big fan of wearing scarves, attach them to a bag to change its look, or why not, wear them as a belt.
