Skirts with pockets

I’m having a moment with skirts right now after deciding to give my dresses a break. It’s too hot here to be wearing denim and pants, and since I’m not a fan of shorts (I just don’t like myself in them), skirts it is.

On a recent shopping spree, I came across this tropical print skirt, and what majorly sold me on it, were the pockets (not that the cheerful, vacation-like print didn’t do it for me).

I’m a big fan of pockets, and not necessarily for the reason of carrying/hiding things in there, but rather for resting my hands in them — I find it comforting. The lightweight fabric is great as well since it makes it perfect for Florida’s hot and humid climate (and summer in general).

The brand is “Her Destiny” in case you’re curious, and I was not able to find it available online (I don’t believe the brand has an online presence).

Once again, I paired it with this basic white tee as that was handy (still need to unpack the rest of my clothes), and I wanted to make the skirt “the statement piece” — a basic tee would do just that, and my favorite espadrilles at the moment (mine are last year’s version), check these for wrap-style espadrilles.
