5 things that bring me joy this week
Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.
After a really nice weekend, this week started a bit off so I have been pushing myself extra hard during my workouts to burn off some steam.
To top it all, winter, aka, the cold is back, though, so far, we’ve had sunshine, and that is making it more bearable. We love sunshine these days, haha.
Here are this week’s 5 things that bring me joy:
pita bread crackers. I actually make my own and it’s something I unintentionally started doing. I had some pita bread that was too dry to eat, so I thought of breaking it apart, tossing it with olive oil and my favorite spices, and baking it until it turned golden brown. Now my homemade pita bread crackers have become my favorite snack, and yes they bring joy!
one of my orchids actually growing a baby orchid! It’s called a Keiki, and I initially thought it was a flower bud. Imagine my surprise when I realized it was not! I’ve never had this happen with any of my orchids before, so yes, it’s bringing me a lot of joy. Now to decide on how to make it survive on its own…
adding a Himalayan salt lamp to our kitchen. This lamp is dimmable so you can adjust the brightness to your liking. I love the soft (or more intense) orange glow it provides — it’s soothing. We’ve had these for years in our bedroom and decided to get another one for our kitchen. It brings me joy! And I also kind of want it in white?
my Sarah Flint Natalie ballerina flats! They’ve been my most worn shoes in January (aka, wore them during every outing). I love how comfortable they are now that I broke them in, and how versatile they can be! Note: Code SF-EM-15 will save you 15% off your purchase of $230 or more. *They just launched a new ballerina style and the shoes are *swoon*!
Scoring a gorgeous dress for $8!!! We went to pick up some necessities for Enzo, and on the way out, I stepped into the store next door — Burlington, where I found a beautiful cotton poplin dress (with pockets!) in a style I love for less than $10! We love a good find!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
xo,
Em
