5 things that bring me joy this week
Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.
Well, it’s been a somewhat boring time around here since we’ve continued to hunker down at home.
Among other things, we finished the last season of The Bear, and I have thoughts I’ll share in my month-at-a-glance blog post, but the bottom line is that I didn’t like it. We loved the first two seasons, but this last one left me “cold”. I see mixed reactions out there, and I get both sides, but my opinion remains unchanged… Have you watched it?
Anyway, here’s this week’s list of 5 random things that are bringing me joy:
feeling almost back to normal. In case you missed it, my husband and I have been sick for almost a week and a half. We haven’t been sick in years so this was a very unpleasant time, as you can imagine. We’re feeling much better these days, and I can’t wait to resume normal life, including going back to the gym. Taking it one day at a time…
a good night’s sleep. There’s nothing more frustrating than being sick and awakened from a deep sleep by your own incessant coughing. Last night, for the first time in a week, I slept through the night uninterrupted, and oh, what a joy that is!
eyeing my next dress purchase. I have been eyeing a few dresses I love for their style, but I wasn’t 100% sold on the color. Well, these days it seems that you don’t have to wait long before someone else decides to make an almost exact option… And so, I found just what I had in mind… Now I’m waiting for a “miracle” sale since it’s been stubbornly excluded so far… And don’t you worry, I will be sharing it after I purchase it so I know what I’m recommending.
this linen blend dress I have expanding its colorways! It now comes in this cute floral print (per reviews, size down), and other colors. It really is a beautiful dress!
nectarine and cherry season. For someone who adores both of these fruits, their season surely brings joy, right?
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
