when coffee’s what gets you through the week…

Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.

It’s been one hell of a week so far, hasn’t it?

We’re finally feeling back to normal and I have fully resumed my workouts, and yes, I’m happy about it, especially with the fact that I didn’t skip any day this week so far, even if I was very tempted today. Glad to report I didn’t listen to the voice in my head — I recommend doing that sometimes!

Shall we jump to this week’s list of 5 random things that bring joy?

  • daily thunderstorms. I don’t know why I find them comforting, even if they do make me jump sometimes (the lightning and thunder have been striking a lot around us lately), but I just do. There is just something… and it brings me joy!

  • the fact that you seem to love this dress as much as I do. I did not expect it, but given that it’s a truly versatile piece, I can’t wait to wear (and style) it again and again.

  • scoring this dress in cream at a crazy price! I was looking for something else when I came across it and saw it on a major sale. It was fully gone by the time I got the confirmation for my order so I was there just at the right time. Funny how I just talked about this dress yesterday! It made me think of this affirmation “What’s mine finds its way to me”. Can’t wait to receive it!

  • this woven leather basket. I know I featured it on last week’s list also, but it truly brings me joy to rediscover it. I wore it twice this past weekend (here and here) and I loved that it paired perfectly with my outfits. The best part about it though, was that it fit our camera and there was no need to carry it around!

  • blackberry season! I don’t know of any berries I don’t like, and we try to take advantage of them each season and indulge as much as possible. We use them in baking, eat them on their own, mixed with yogurt, and make frozen yogurt bark (here’s a recipe if you’re looking for ideas — I make up my own. Tip: I recommend the Noosa yogurt brand — it’s so smooth and that's exactly what you need for frozen yogurt bark).

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
