5 things that bring me joy this week
Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.
I hope you got to enjoy the long weekend, and spent it like you wanted to.
Luckily, this week is not going as slowly as expected, so that’s good news. Usually, the week following a holiday feels the longest, so this is a nice change. I have been keeping busy, which is probably what’s helping.
In case you missed it, I just shared my August at a glance, a series I see you enjoy, so I hope you find something interesting there. Now, let’s jump to this week’s list of things that bring me joy, shall we?
organized cabinets/cupboards. Well, I didn’t plan on spending the holiday organizing my home, but that’s exactly what I did. And no, I have no regrets as we generally don’t do much on holidays anyway — I just don’t love the craze. It’s not necessarily the introvert in me, as much as just me not loving rowdy crowds and places. So a holiday spent at home in peace is plenty of joy for me!
this serum. Because skincare brings joy, right? I’ve only been using this serum for a little over a week, but it leaves my skin smooth and hydrated. Healthy-looking skin is always a good reason for joy!
the lovely dresses I’ve acquired recently… They bring me joy because I’ve been eyeing some of them for quite a while…
slightly cooler evenings and nights. Okay, fall may not be here yet, but there is a change in the evening and night air, and of course, it brings all the joy for those of us hungry for livable temperatures. I even get chilly at night now and need to cover up, haha. Though, in all honesty, I’m one of those people who can’t sleep without the covers on at any time.
Emily in Paris. Yes, as mentioned in my previous blog post, this is a silly show, but it’s bringing me joy — my guilty pleasure if you will! I love the Paris team!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
